SHUVAPRASANNAShuvaprasanna's creative sensibilities honed on the whetstone of the Kolkata milieu, mirrors his sophisticated idealization of the images around him. Constantly experimenting, he has charted new territories with his current series of Illusions Icons. Born 1947. In a career spanning more than three decades, this Kolkata born artiste has revealed a multi-faceted artistic temperament. He graduated from the Indian College of Art at Kolkata in 1969, and before that year was through he had co-founded Art and Artists in the city. A few years later, in 1976, he founded the College of Visual Arts in Kolkata. He has been awarded by the Birla Academy, AIFACS, and the prestigious Lalit Kala Akademi.
