SEKHAR KARSekhar Kar's fascination with the layered idiom residing within the figurative, is the leitmotif shaping his vision. From the iconicity of the visible feminine to a halting acceptance of a gentle maleness, has been a gradual onward journey for this gentle, thinking artiste. With a Master Degree from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata, he has had 10 solo shows and has participated in more than a 100 group exhibitions, including some very prestigious galleries in India such as Vadhera Art Gallery, Delhi, Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai He was awarded with a gold medal from Rabindra Bharati.
