RABIN MONDALRabin Mondal's personal exploration of his creative conscience, is expressed in the haunting faces which have the continuum of a figurative iconicity. In this collection 'Face' strangely juxtaposes a primordial innocence with a brooding pensiveness, that is his abiding style. Graduated from Kolkata University in 1952. His unique artistic oeuvre has led to several documentaries and films being made on his works, including one made by Buddhadev Dasgupta. He has been featured in several prestigious auctions and is also a Founder Member of Kolkata Painters.
