PARTHO BHATTACHARYAPartho Bhattacharjee's evocation of the divine has a near Renaissance resonance, which transcends the provincial to embrace the universal. Quixotic and infinitely human, his Krishna here is caught within a larger narrative that often characterize his works. Graduated from Govt. College of Art & Craft Kolkata in 1961. He has participated in more than six solo exhibitions and over fifty group exhibitions. He was awarded the President of India's silver plaque for the best work for the year 2000-2001 by AIFAC.
