HIRAN MITRAA brilliant cohesion of form and colours in Hiran Mitra's vertical compositions, reveals his penchant for a spatial abstractedness. Sound acquires an imagery that is strangely tactile under his deft brush strokes. Graduated from Govt. College of Art & Craft in 1966. Exhibitions: Gallery Jacob, Paris 2000-2001, Hamburg Germany- 2000, Cima Art Gallery 2001, Kolkata JAYSHREE CHAKRAVORTY: Educated in Santiniketan and then MS University Baroda, after which she went to France and lived and worked there for a long time until she settled back in Kolkata.
