Dancing Brushes evolves as a center for art from the cultural organisation called The Calcutta Salon. Started in 2001, The Calcutta Salon, engages in activities centered around literature, music and painting. Its philosophy is to highlight the confluence of the Arts.

Our last exhibition "Colours and Palettes - Bengal" was held at New Delhi at Gallerie Nvya, A-29 Friends Colony(East), New Delhi, from September 8 - 24, 2005.
 
The Dancing Brushes Art Gallery has a selection of paintings that were partly painted in the various art camps held by the Calcutta Salon and Dancing Brushes.
